Privacy policy

Waterwind Games makes small browser games. This policy explains what our games collect and why. Questions or requests: waterwindgames@proton.me.
What we collect
Our games don't ask for your name, email or any account. If you agree to the analytics question when a game first starts, the game sends anonymous gameplay statistics to GameAnalytics, which we use to see which levels are too hard and which ideas players enjoy. These statistics include:
- A random ID created on your device (not linked to your identity).
- Session start and length, and game events such as level started, completed or failed.
- Basic technical details: browser, operating system, device type, and the country GameAnalytics derives from your connection.
If you choose "No thanks", the game sends nothing. You can change your mind by clearing the site data for the game in your browser; the question appears again on the next visit.
Data stored on your device
Your progress, settings and your analytics choice are stored on your device by your browser so the game remembers them. They never leave your device unless you agreed to analytics as described above.
Ads and purchases
Where a game shows ads or offers purchases, they're provided by the portal you play on (for example itch.io or CrazyGames), under that portal's privacy policy. We don't receive your payment details.
Children
Our games are made for a general audience. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and the anonymous statistics above are only sent with consent.
Keeping and deleting data
GameAnalytics keeps statistics under its own retention rules. Because the ID is random and stored only on your device, we can't connect statistics to you. To stop future collection, choose "No thanks" or clear the game's site data.
Changes
If our games start collecting anything new, we'll update this page before they do.
